After checking in to the cold, cold but very nice deluxe hostel room we opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate the arrival to China. Then we went out for a walk to The Bund to understand that we are really in Shanghai. It was Thursday evening, and not the warmest one, but The Bund was packed with people. The only thing we couldn’t find that evening was a place to eat. One would think that a place like that would be packed with restaurants, but there were none. So the first evening we didn’t get the real Chinese food and had to satisfy with westerner food. But during the next days we got Chinese food experience.
